This policy explains how to cancel your Cyridium subscription and when refunds are available. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and is subject to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to direct subscribers to Cyridium Ltd’s platform plans. If you are an end user of a website built on Cyridium by one of our clients, your relationship is with that client and their refund policy applies.

2. Cooling-off period (new subscriptions)

If you are a consumer (an individual not purchasing primarily for business purposes), you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of the date your subscription begins, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Important: If you request immediate access to the Service when you sign up, you acknowledge that we begin performing the contract before the 14-day cooling-off period ends. In this case, you remain entitled to cancel within 14 days, but we will deduct a pro-rated amount for the period of Service already used before the cancellation takes effect. If the Service is fully performed (e.g. a one-off setup) within the cooling-off period with your express agreement, your right to cancel is extinguished on completion.

To exercise this right, notify us at billing@cyridium.co.uk within 14 days of your subscription start date. We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method as your original transaction.

3. Cancellation of ongoing subscriptions

3.1 How to cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Logging in to your Cyridium dashboard and using the “Cancel subscription” option; or

  • Emailing billing@cyridium.co.uk from the email address associated with your account.

3.2 When cancellation takes effect

  • Monthly plans: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You retain access to the Service until then.

  • Annual plans: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual billing period. You retain access until then.

3.3 Refunds on cancellation

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable after the cooling-off period has passed. When you cancel:

  • You will not be charged for the next billing period;

  • No partial refund is issued for the unused portion of the current billing period, except as set out in Section 4 (Service-level refunds) or required by law;

  • Annual plan holders who cancel mid-year will not ordinarily receive a refund for remaining months.

Business customers: The Consumer Contracts Regulations cooling-off rights described above apply only to consumers. If you subscribed for business purposes, you have no automatic statutory right of withdrawal, and the non-refundable terms above apply from the date of subscription.

4. Refunds due to Service failure

Where Cyridium fails to meet the uptime commitments in our Service Level Agreement, you may be entitled to a service credit as described in that document. In cases of sustained or severe Service failure beyond our SLA remedies, or where we terminate the Service, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

5. Termination by Cyridium

5.1 Termination for breach

If we terminate your account due to a breach of our Terms and Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy, no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.

5.2 Termination for convenience by Cyridium

If we choose to discontinue the Service or terminate your account for reasons other than your breach, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and provide a pro-rated refund for any unused prepaid period.

6. Plan changes (upgrades and downgrades)

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. The additional amount is charged pro-rata for the remainder of the billing period.

  • Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. No credit is issued for the current period.

7. Data export on cancellation

After your subscription ends, you have 30 days to export your data. After this period, your data may be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for any data lost because you did not export it within this window.

8. Future subscription rules

We note that the UK Smarter Regulation programme and forthcoming subscription contract rules may introduce additional consumer rights regarding cancellation. We will update this policy to reflect any such changes when they come into force.
