This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules governing use of Cyridium Ltd’s platform, services, and infrastructure (“the Service”). It supplements and is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms and Conditions.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. We may update this AUP from time to time; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any revised version.

1. Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to host, publish, transmit, or facilitate any content that:

  • Is unlawful under the laws of England and Wales or in the jurisdiction where you operate;

  • Infringes the intellectual property rights (copyright, trade mark, database rights, or similar) of any third party;

  • Is fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive, including phishing pages or counterfeit goods listings;

  • Constitutes hate speech, incites violence, or discriminates on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or other protected characteristic;

  • Is sexually explicit and displayed without robust age-verification mechanisms required by applicable law (including the Online Safety Act 2023 and DUAA);

  • Depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we will report such material to the National Crime Agency and NCMEC without notice;

  • Promotes or facilitates terrorism, extremism, or radicalisation;

  • Constitutes spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or unlawful direct marketing under PECR;

  • Contains malicious code, viruses, ransomware, spyware, adware, or any other harmful software;

  • Facilitates the unauthorised collection of personal data (including credential-harvesting or scrapers that violate third-party terms);

  • Infringes gambling or financial services regulations without the appropriate FCA or Gambling Commission authorisation.

2. Prohibited activities

You must not use the Service to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, network, account, or data, including circumventing multi-tenant isolation;

  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks, stress-testing without prior written consent, or any activity intended to degrade availability for other users;

  • Mine cryptocurrency or use the Service for intensive computational tasks unrelated to the platform’s intended purpose;

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks without prior written authorisation from Cyridium Ltd;

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service;

  • Circumvent or tamper with any security, authentication, or access-control mechanism;

  • Use automated tools to scrape, index, or harvest data from the Service at a rate that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure;

  • Resell or sublicence access to the Service without our written consent;

  • Impersonate Cyridium Ltd or any of our employees, agents, or representatives.

3. Resource usage

The Service is shared infrastructure. You must use it in a way that is reasonable and proportionate to your subscription plan. We reserve the right to:

  • Apply fair-use throttling where your usage materially affects the performance experienced by other customers;

  • Charge for exceptional bandwidth, storage, or compute usage that significantly exceeds the reasonable expectations for your plan;

  • Require you to upgrade to an appropriate plan if your usage consistently exceeds fair-use thresholds.

We will endeavour to notify you before taking any such action except where immediate action is required to protect other users.

4. Account security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • You must not share account access in a way that circumvents per-seat licensing.

  • You must notify us immediately at compliance@cyridium.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

  • You must enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) if required by your subscription plan or if prompted by our security controls.

5. Your responsibility for end users

If you are a business customer building a website on our platform, you are responsible for ensuring that your end users (website visitors) comply with this AUP in relation to any interactive or user-generated content features you enable. This includes comment sections, forums, file uploads, and form submissions.

6. Reporting violations

If you believe that content or activity on the Cyridium platform violates this AUP, please report it to us at compliance@cyridium.co.uk. We will investigate all credible reports promptly.

7. Enforcement

If we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may take any of the following actions, with or without prior notice depending on the severity:

  • Issue a formal warning;

  • Suspend or restrict access to the Service;

  • Remove or disable offending content;

  • Terminate your account and subscription;

  • Report the violation to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities;

  • Take legal action to recover damages or obtain injunctive relief.

We will try to give reasonable prior notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach where doing so does not put other users, our systems, or third parties at risk. Termination for serious violations (including illegal content, CSAM, or active attacks on our infrastructure) may be immediate and without prior notice.

Note for clients building on Cyridium: You remain responsible for ensuring your websites comply with all applicable laws, including the Online Safety Act 2023 obligations applicable to user-generated content platforms, ICO guidance on cookies and data protection, and relevant advertising standards.
